Derek: I wonder what it sounds like at 33 rpm
Kevin: I was gonna say that I thought it sounded better at 45, but now Im not sure.
Kevin: I think I liked it better at 45
Nicole: whats it supposed to be played at?
Derek: The Label is completely black
Kevin: No this was definitely meant to be played at 33. I still like it better at 45rpm
Derek: Maybe it supposed to be played at 38. Maybe the whole review will be about the speed.
[Derek turns the turntable back to 45]
Kevin: Ill say something about content. This is experimental noise collage. The pacing is a bit slow.
Kevin: This side is pretty decent. Maybe this works better switching between 33 and 45. A sort of
interactive musical experience. Challenging the preconceptions of the pre-digital age. I am filled with
angst and joy simultaneously.
Kevin: I guess one side has two shorter tracks and the other has a sort of longer piece divided into sections.
Kevin: Oooh, theyre playing with the stereo image.
Derek: "submit?" Well, thats it.
Kevin: Comments?
Derek: I could see it as like a little interlude in an ambient set, but I dont see it standing on its own
Nicole: It reminded me of, I dont know, it would be what you hear if you were captured by aliens and taken
aboard their space ship.
Kevin: Its noise collage with a couple good moments, but overall it doesnt really feel as cohesive as it
could be.
