I HATE LOGIC
I have no idea how anyone gets anything done with
this software
I have been using computer sequencing and audio
software since 1991. I have spent time with almost every multi-track audio
software ever invented except Cakewalk. I hadn't really ever used logic until I
bought a copy last year when the rest of my band decided to standardize on Logic
Express for us to work on our stuff and share the duties. I had heard for years
how anti-intuitive Logic was, but that many people loved it. Well, I freaking
hate it. I have spent sooo much time searching the net for how to do the dead
simplest things (the help that comes with the program is useless). The whole
point of this stuff is to get out of the way to make the music making simpler,
if you can think it, you can do it, etc... This program just sucks. I give up.
Seriously. Forget it.
This is the mail
I sent my band just now:
I have spent
the last three hours trying to create a new track in the arrange window without
it being locked to some other track in the arrange window. I haven't been able
to record shit.
How the fuck am I
supposed to do this? The help is
useless.
We just have tracks for
the already recorded stuff, but we have more channels in the channel mixer. I
want to create a new track in the arrange window corresponding to one of the
existing mixer tracks, but the only way to create a new track is to use the
create track command which basically locks the new track to the selected
track.
Logic is seriously the
least intuitive software I have ever
used.
