Preparing for a gig, part 4

Almost there, 4 days to go

So, the rig is stabilizing. I was not planning to use a MIDI fader box to control Live, but after practice this morning, I realized that I needed it, so out comes the PC 1600x and now my little table o' boxes gets a bit more crowded. I'm not sure if I'm completely happy with my options on the cello either. Currently, I'm running my cello into a Space Station, into the Electrix Repeater which goes into the mixer and Live. The Space Station is cool, but I'm feeling limited in my palette on the cello, even though I have the AirFX and Kaoss to augment. The problem is that while I'm playing cello, I can only use my feet to mess with the sound since both my hands are occupied. I may end up pulling out another pedal or two to further augment the sound, we'll see. I've got the video done and will burn the DVD tonight. It's not mind blowing, but it is plenty difficult to make an hour of interesting video in a week. Now, I just need to practice my brains out so that I'm confident when I take the stage to belt out an hour of improvised music in front of a live audience.

On another note, my "rock band" transPacific is playing next week in Seattle, check out our website for details.
