Collaboration between The Tiptons Sax Quartet,
visual artist Danijel Zezelj
<http://www.dzezelj.com/>
and photographer Aric Mayer
<http://www.aricmayerstudios.com>
The Shop of Wild Dreams is composed of stories
written by Zezelj featuring real and invented characters...As we follow the
stories, the common line between them becomes more visible - each one describes
a dream as an intimate and personal reflection that transforms into the
metaphors which define our lives. The final story connects with the first one
and closes the circle.
The Tiptons Sax Quartet
(four saxophones plus Jeff Harper on bass & Will Dowd on drums) have
composed a live soundtrack, which will include narration and singing. During
each performance Mayer will project still and moving images on a 24'x6' panel,
while Zezelj will paint a series of images on a similar panel directly below,
creating the visual storyline for Dreams.
